Meet Summer – A Friendly Calico Girl with a Heart Full of Love

Calicos are known to love hard – and sweet Summer is no exception. This gorgeous little girl has already been through more than most in her short life, but she’s come through it all with her gentle spirit shining brightly.

Summer’s story began on the streets of Bahrain, where a member of the public alerted a rescuer after spotting a tiny kitten wandering alone in the rain. Something was clearly wrong – part of her ear was hanging off. Summer's rescuer immediately took her to the vet, where it was discovered she’d been bitten by a dog. She needed surgery to remove the dead part of her ear, Summer recovered beautifully and now wears her unique ear as a badge of survival and strength.

Despite what she’s been through, Summer is one of the calmest, sweetest little souls. She doesn’t mind being picked up and held. She enjoys head rubs, and is very friendly. She also enjoys sitting near a sunny window watching the birds.

Summer is litterbox trained and eats both dry and wet food (as well as the occasional treat of boiled chicken). She’s healthy, affectionate, and calm – the perfect little companion for someone looking for a cat who will love deeply and loyally. 

Summer is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life – one filled with love, safety, and all the cuddles she could ever want. Could you be the person to show her that the world can be kind?
