Stella
Meet Stella – A Quiet Soul Looking for Safety and Love ![]()
Stella is a beautiful calico girl with a gentle spirit and a story that shows just how resilient she truly is. She was found perched on top of a fence beside a busy highway, curled up in fear and frozen in place as cars sped past. Her rescuer waited hours into the night to keep her safe, eventually managing to bring her home after a long, stressful ordeal. Stella had gone more than a day without food, terrified and unsure, but she was finally safe.
That frightening start has shaped Stella into a shy and sensitive girl who takes her time to trust. She isn’t a lap cat and won’t rush into cuddles, but with patience and consistency, she slowly learns that humans can be kind. It took many months for Stella to feel comfortable enough to accept gentle pets and handling — a testament to how much she has already overcome.
Stella is calm, quiet, and observant. She loves watching the world from the window, especially birds, and she’ll happily let you know when it’s wet food time — she has quite the voice when food is involved! She enjoys chicken, eats dry food too, and prefers a peaceful routine where nothing feels rushed or overwhelming.
Stella is FIV positive, something that does not define her or limit her ability to live a full, happy life. She is healthy, stable, and simply needs an indoor-only home where she can stay safe and cared for. She gets along very well with other cats and can live happily with other friendly, non-aggressive cats in the right environment.
She would thrive in a calm, stable home with few people, where her adopter understands shy cats and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to blossom. Once Stella feels safe, her trust is deeply meaningful — she just needs someone patient enough to earn it.
If you believe love doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful, Stella may be the girl for you.
