Meet SOFIE – a beautiful girl with dreamy blue eyes and a gentle heart.

Sofie’s story began in a residential neighbourhood, where she was spotted wandering, hungry and searching for food. She looked every bit a house cat, not a street survivor, and a kind-hearted person spotted her and began feeding her daily. They posted her photo across lost pet platforms, hoping someone would come forward – but no one ever did. It’s likely Sofie had been dumped.

Concerned for her wellbeing, the kind stranger contacted a vet clinic to get her checked. Poor Sofie was skinny and in need of care, and sadly she tested FIV positive. She was left to board at the clinic for two months, her future uncertain – until her rescuer met her and couldn’t walk away. Moved by her story and gentle soul, she took her home and promised to help her find the forever home she deserves.

Sofie is a sweet, affectionate girl who thrives on gentle attention. She loves to curl up beside her foster mum on the bed. She kneads with joy and meows back at you when spoken to, showing just how much she enjoys human company. She’s happy to be picked up and adores being close to those she trusts.

Though FIV+, Sofie is a healthy cat. With a clean, stress-free environment, she can live a long and happy life like any other cat. She’s calm, clean, and low-maintenance—content to free-feed on dry food, and uses her litter box perfectly. She also has a soft spot for catnip and gentle playtime.

Sofie hasn’t been tested with other pets or children, but her nature is so gentle and peaceful that we believe she could settle well with proper introductions. She needs a loving indoor only home—or with a secure garden/catio—where she can receive the love she craves.
