Roberto
Meet ROBERTO ![]()
Roberto’s story begins as a tiny four-month-old kitten, abandoned near a dumpster in a residential area — alone, starving, and in pain. He had no mother, no food, and no one to protect him. His little body was skin and bone, covered in fleas, and his right eye was severely infected, oozing pus and causing him constant agony.
When rescuers first tried to help, Roberto was frightened of being picked up — not because he was aggressive, but because pain had taught him to fear touch. Many people had seen him like this, yet walked past. Eventually, someone stopped. And that moment changed everything.
To save his life, Roberto’s damaged eye had to be surgically removed. With that surgery, the pain ended — and so did the fear. The frightened kitten who once flinched at human contact slowly learned that hands could bring comfort, warmth, and safety. Today, Roberto is thriving.
Despite having only one eye, this does not affect his quality of life in the slightest. He navigates confidently, plays happily, and lives just like any other cat. Roberto doesn’t know he’s “different” — and he certainly doesn’t act like it.
Roberto is pure joy in feline form. He is affectionate, cuddly, playful, and endlessly curious. He wants to be part of everything — following you around the house, sitting beside you, climbing into your lap, and sharing every quiet and playful moment of your day.
He loves toys, feather wands, interactive play, and anything that helps him bond with his humans. Roberto is looking for a home where he is treated as family. A home that sees his strength, not his scars. He will thrive with people who cherish him, include him, and love him unconditionally
