Meet Ricko – the little warrior with the sweetest face and the biggest heart.

Ricko’s journey began under a neighbour’s car, where his rescuer found him standing but unable to walk. He was only around 3 to 4 months old, malnourished, skinny, and so weak that he couldn’t even accept the food offered to him. With the cold weather closing in, his rescuer knew she couldn’t leave him behind. She scooped him up and, as if he knew he was finally safe, he purred the whole car journey home.

Sadly, Ricko was diagnosed with both parvo and calicivirus – a devastating combination, especially for a kitten. But Ricko is a fighter. Despite how hard the symptoms hit him, this tiny boy showed enormous strength. He battled through the illness with courage, and thanks to dedicated vet care and love, Ricko made a full recovery.

Now healthy and thriving, Ricko is ready to start the next chapter of his life – one that includes a forever family of his own. His personality is just as lovely as his expression. Ricko is sweet, affectionate, and wonderfully clingy in the best way possible. He adores being near people and is never far from his fosterer’s side. His head bumps are legendary, and his cuddles are constant.

He’s playful but gentle, curious but calm, and always ready to give love. Ricko is also fully litter trained and enjoys both wet and dry food . While he’s been fine around other cats, he hasn’t been tested with dogs or children – but with the right introductions, he has the potential to adapt well.

Ricko has survived so much – now it’s time for him to be loved like he truly deserves.
