Meet Martina — a chatty little sweetheart with the most expressive face

Martina’s story is one of resilience, kindness, and second chances.

After her photo was shared online by people hoping someone would help her, a rescuer set out to find her. Two days later, Martina was discovered living in the parking area of a building where she had been abandoned after her owner left the country. Left to fend for herself, she faced a harsh reality on the streets. Other cats would attack her, leaving injuries on her back, yet despite everything she endured, Martina never lost her gentle nature.

When her rescuer finally found her and spoke softly to her, Martina approached straight away. She was picked up and taken to safety, and during the entire journey to the vet, she chatted back with sweet little meows as if she knew help had finally arrived.

Today, Martina is thriving. This beautiful black and white girl is affectionate, friendly, and absolutely adores human company. She loves being held like a baby, enjoys head scratches, and will happily curl up on a lap for a cuddle. She’s also quite the conversationalist and enjoys “chatting” with her people throughout the day.

While Martina isn’t particularly interested in toys, she’s perfectly content spending her time relaxing, watching birds from the window, and soaking up affection. She gets along well with other cats and would be happy in a home with one or two calm feline companions, though she’d also love being the centre of attention in a peaceful home.

Her favourite things include wet food, chicken, cosy naps, and spending time close to the people she loves.
