Meet

Lawrence

In UK Foster

Lawrence

This handsome cheeky boy is Lawrence (previously known as Habib).

Lawrence Habib was found in the streets of Bahrain in 2023, when he was 4 months old. After a year at his rescuer's flat, he travelled all the way to London, UK, to be adopted by what we hoped would be his forever home. Unfortunately, despite all the slow introductions, it is clear that he does not like to be in a house with other cats and that he would much happier and calmer as a solo cat in a house where he can be fully himself without being constantly triggered by the presence of other animals.

Lawrence is an extremely energetic boy, and at almost 2 years old he still has very much a kitten energy. He is super curious, adores playing and would also benefit from a large outdoor safe space (garden or even countryside as long as he has no access to trafficked roads or other cats).

Lawrence may take a while to become confident and cuddly at first - sometimes he could go from purry and loving to jumpy and bitey with no warning sign - so an experienced and patient cat owner would be best. It's been quite endearing for his adopting mum to see him become more and more affectionate and cuddly, week after week - but at first he will be a bit nervous so it's important to follow his lead when it comes to touching, petting etc.

He's very intelligent and he responds to commands such as "A paw" "high five", "Sit" "Lie down", sometimes even "On the floor!" when his adoptive mum wants him to get down from the sofa or counter. All in exchange for a treat of course! He doesn't like to be held, but once he trusts you he is ok with being temporarily picked up to be put on the bed/sofa/carrier etc without any fuss.

He adores chin rubs, cuddles when he feels like it and most of all kisses on his head while you are gently holding his face. The face he makes while you kiss him is heartmeltingly adorable! Absolutely loves to watch the world go by from a window (just make sure it's almost closed or he will jump out!)

He has a full clean bill of health and up to date with all his vaccinations. His current adoptive mum is in London and she would like his potential new family to come and meet him to have a sense of him and his character, before they make the final decision to adopt him, as this boy deserves to find his final and forever home once and for all.

Due to his not getting along with the other cats in the house, the poor boy has not been able to roam the full house as he would like to, therefore he's getting more and more frustrated. The perfect situation for him would be a person or family with no other pets, no young children (this is due to his potential reactiveness when he's nervous, as he actually likes children), and a mid/large outdoor space he can access. His current adoptive mum is prepared to foster him until he finds the perfect family.
