Found stuck in a car engine when the owner started the car. Sadly, some of Amani's fur was ripped off on her back and tummy, and her tail was damaged.  Vets recommended amputating the tail, but our wonderful rescuer chose instead to let it try to heal, and thankfully it did! However, she will always have some bald patches.

Amani, for all she has been through, is a very loving, soft and affectionate lap cat.  She doesn't like to be picked up and carried though.  She really has so much love to give, very playful too.
