Are you a
Rescuer?
NOTICE: Unfortunately we are currently running at full capacity with our current rescuers and therefore aren't in a position to take on anyone else. Wishing you and your rescues the best of luck!
Here at Clan McCat we work very closely with our Rescuers.
If you are a Rescuer and would like some help finding a home for your rescues here in the UK, please get in touch by sending us a message on Facebook or via email.
We are currently helping Rescuers in Bahrain, the UAE, Macedonia, Tabuk Paws from Saudi Arabia and the UK. We are looking to help more countries globally but as we are only a small team, we are at full capacity at the moment.
Requirements
We need to see vaccine books with a full PCH course vaccines (2 vaccines 3-4 weeks apart), Rabies, microchip, neutering and any other medical procedures performed such as flea/worming treatment. We also need test results for FIV/FELV and coronavirus if possible. We also have a Rescuer Contract and Rescuer Form for you to complete. The Rescuer Form helps us to create a post about your cat. We feel this is very important as it’s your cat’s chance at finding their forever home. We also require photos for their post.
Once we receive all of the above we will post your cat(s) on our page. Any applications we receive we send to you to see whether they would be a good match. Should you like the application, we create a WhatsApp group chat where you can talk with the potential adopter and get a feel for whether they would be the perfect home for your cat. This group also remains open indefinitely. If everyone in the group is happy to proceed we then organise a Zoom video call where the potential adopter can ‘meet’ the cat. Only after this and with your approval do we agree to the adoption. We ask for a £50 deposit from the adopter to reserve a space on the next flight for the cat.
Please note: We do not require Rescuers to pay for their cat’s travel. We fundraise for this cost.
Please send us a message on Facebook page or email clanmccatscotlandcatrescue@outlook.com should you have any further questions.
